Planning for your family’s future or your business’s next chapter shouldn’t feel overwhelming. Brandon Meyer helps clients turn big, complicated decisions into a clear, step-by-step plan—so you can move forward knowing the important things are handled.
A partner at MeyerPink Law, Brandon focuses his practice on estate planning and business law. After more than a decade as in-house counsel for a tribal government and its enterprises, and additional experience at a boutique business and estate planning firm, he brings a practical, problem-solving approach to helping individuals and business owners protect what they’ve built and prepare for what’s ahead.
Estate planning. Brandon guides individuals and families through the full range of estate planning tools, building plans that fit each client’s goals and give them confidence about the future. His estate planning work includes:
Business law. Brandon advises business owners on the transactional and corporate matters that keep a company organized and moving forward, drawing on years of work across business, corporate, and gaming law, along with experience handling employment and human-resources issues.
Brandon attended San Diego State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in psychology while working with nonprofit organizations. Then Brandon moved back to Northern California, where he worked in social services—including as a social worker and Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) representative supporting foster youth and families.
In 2006, after seeing firsthand how the legal system shaped the lives of kids and families, Brandon decided to become a lawyer. He had realized that attorneys are often in a unique position to help people through their hardest challenges and biggest opportunities—and he wanted to be one of them.
Brandon served as general counsel for the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians and its economic enterprises for 11 years. In that role he advised on complex areas of federal, state, and tribal law while navigating dynamic business and government issues, including corporate, gaming, and employment matters.
Alongside that work, Brandon gained experience at Johnston & Johnston, a boutique business and estate planning firm, where he advised clients and companies on a wide range of legal issues. Earlier in his career, he also volunteered with the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office and the Stanislaus County Public Defender’s Office, giving him a well-rounded view of the legal system from both sides.
Professional associations:
Service has been a throughline in Brandon’s career. He serves as president of the Youth Sports Foundation of Tuolumne County and sits on the Sonora Area Foundation Legal Committee. He also served on the Sonora Elementary School Board, including a term as president. These roles keep him closely connected to the communities MeyerPink Law calls home across Tuolumne, Stanislaus, and Calaveras counties.
When he isn’t working, Brandon spends as much of his free time as he can outdoors and with his family—skiing, fishing, and getting out into the country he grew up in. He’s a true Californian at heart, and loves that you can ski in the snow and relax on the beach in the same day. His favorite spot to get away is the Emigrant Wilderness, and the coolest place he’s ever traveled is Japan.
