The Partners

Jay is an Attorney, CFP® and CPA (inactive) professional who advises businesses and families on estate planning, business law, and financial strategy. His varied professional background—including accounting, family business operations, and financial planning—allows him to offer holistic, integrated advice tailored to each client’s unique goals. As founder of what is now MeyerPink Law, Jay is committed to building long-term relationships with clients, where their success is the ultimate measure of his own.
He also serves as President of the Calaveras Bar Association and sits on the board of the Columbia College Foundation, reflecting his ongoing dedication to professional leadership and community service.

Jay grew up in Massachusetts, where his entrepreneurial parents owned and operated a plastics manufacturing company. Their business instilled in him a deep appreciation for the challenges and opportunities faced by business owners—a perspective that continues to shape his legal practice today. Jay went on to study accounting at Boston College and also spent a year abroad in Italy studying international business, further expanding his understanding of global commerce and operational dynamics.

After college, Jay moved to San Diego, where he worked in a CPA firm and supported a broad range of clients on business, tax, and financial matters. It was there that he met his wife, Dana. Together, they later moved to Malawi, Africa, where they served for four years with African Bible Colleges—Jay as the Financial Officer, and Accounting instructor and Dana as an elementary school teacher. This experience deepened Jay’s commitment to community-focused service and continues to influence his approach to client relationships.

Upon returning back to the USA, Jay worked as an executive in his family’s business while beginning law school. In 2011, he joined a law firm in Modesto, CA, where he focused on business and estate planning. In 2018, Jay and his family relocated to Sonora, California, where he founded what is now MeyerPink Law.

In addition to his law degree, Jay holds both a CPA license (inactive) and a CFP® certification, giving him a unique and comprehensive perspective that integrates legal, tax, and financial planning. He has helped numerous clients start businesses by forming entities as well as sell their businesses, and is passionate about helping businesses and families navigate complex legal and financial issues with clarity and confidence.

Jay is deeply committed to providing tailored, forward-thinking solutions that help clients protect their assets, plan for the future, and build lasting legacies.

Brandon served as General Counsel for the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians for the last 11 years. Brandon is a graduate of San Diego State University and was a Co-Valedictorian at the Laurence Drivon School of Law. Brandon practices estate planning and business law transactional work and has experience helping with labor law and human resource legal issues.

Brandon was born in Modesto, but his family quickly moved to San Diego, where his father was stationed in the U.S. Navy. As a military family, they lived in many places, including southern California, Japan and Virginia before settling back in the foothills of Tuolumne County in the mid-1990s.

Brandon attended San Diego State University while working for nonprofit organizations that helped foster youth gain valuable life skills as they were leaving the foster care system.

After marrying his high school sweetheart, Jolene, the family moved back to northern California, where Jolene began a teaching career and Brandon worked in social services. He decided to pursue law school after experiencing the effect that the legal system had on kids and families. In particular, he realized that lawyers were often in a position to help people who were facing unique challenges or opportunities. He later graduated as co-valedictorian from the Laurence Drivon School of Law.

Previously, Brandon served as general counsel for the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians and their economic enterprises (including Black Oak Casino) for 11 years. There, he enjoyed advising on complex areas of federal, state, and tribal law, while also being involved in complicated and dynamic business and government issues. At the same time, Brandon also gained valuable experience working at a boutique business, estate planning, and bankruptcy law firm, where he advised clients and companies on various issues.

Additionally, Brandon has also volunteered for both the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s office, as well as the Stanislaus County Public Defender’s office. In those roles, he gained valuable experience in both the prosecution and defense of criminal matters.

Brandon practices estate planning and business law transactions. He also has experience assisting with labor law and human resources legal issues. While he has enjoyed all aspects of his prior work, his favorite is helping business owners and individuals plan for their futures.

Our Attorneys

April is a Certified Family Law Specialist, which means she has passed a special bar exam in California to be a specialist in family law. She has experience in representing parties in family law cases, dissolutions, child custody and visitation, support matters, guardianship matters and domestic violence cases. Her specialized knowledge serves as the foundation of our family law practice.

Jessie is an experienced attorney practicing in our family law division. She handles cases across the Central Valley, including Tuolumne and Calaveras County. She is also actively involved in the Stanislaus Inns of Court. Her dedication to the local community is a vital part of our family law practice.

Michael Germain is a seasoned attorney with over 35 years of successful experience in various areas of law. Recently joining MeyerPink Law as Of Counsel, his prestigious designation reflects his extensive career and commitment to excellence. He specializes in providing expert guidance to select clients in real estate, business, estate planning, probate, and other complex legal projects. His practice is dedicated to business law and real property law, ensuring that complex commercial matters are handled with precision.

Attorney Sheryl Vieira built her legal career around the belief that life’s most pivotal transitions: divorce, custody disputes, property division, demand an attorney who genuinely listens. She understands that behind every case file is a real family navigating one of the hardest chapters of their lives, and she is committed to making sure every client feels heard, informed, and confidently represented every step of the way.
