We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic team in Sonora, CA.
Job Overview:
As an Associate Attorney in our family law practice, you will play a pivotal role in our firm, working closely with clients and senior attorneys to handle a wide range of family law matters. Your ability to provide sound legal guidance, prepare persuasive legal documents, and support clients through sensitive and important life transitions will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Representation: Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and related proceedings.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, settlement correspondence, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Court Appearances: Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other case-related appearances as required.
- Case Strategy: Conduct legal research, evaluate case issues, and develop practical strategies aligned with each client’s goals.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring they feel supported throughout the legal process.
- Case Management: Manage deadlines, case files, and workflow in an organized and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in California family law.
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom preparation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Compassionate, professional approach to working with clients during sensitive legal matters.
